REMEMBERING THE PAST TO BUILD THE FUTURE

In recent years, thanks in part to the opportunities offered by PNRR funding, we have been building solid experience in the urban regeneration of historic centers, working on complex projects where protection, innovation, and sustainability intertwine.

The regeneration project for the Borgo Castello in Andora, which we won, addresses the transformation of a fortified settlement of extraordinary historical and landscape value, with the aim of defining new models for enjoying, welcoming, and enhancing its heritage.

Located on the ridge between Andora and Laigueglia, in a privileged and easily accessible panoramic position, the village fully preserves the urban layout of the medieval “castrum,” with its blocks and ancient streets. Among the olive groves, the ruins of medieval houses emerge, creating a unique landscape where architecture, history, and nature intertwine.

A project that interprets the morphology of the site and restores centrality to the historic core, developed on the slopes of the hill at the foot of the Castle, to transform memory into project and the past into the future.
