Being sustainable also means being fully aware of today’s challenges and opportunities. GPA has chosen to face this responsibility with a comprehensive approach that considers not only environmental aspects but also the economic and social impact of its decisions. For us, sustainability is the driving force behind innovation and the starting point for building a more sustainable future.
Identification and assessment of material topics
In 2024, GPA launched a structured process to integrate sustainability into its decision-making and operational processes. A key milestone in this journey was the materiality analysis, carried out to identify the most relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in relation to the nature of the company’s activities and the context in which it operates.
Our purpose
At GPA, we transform ideas into sustainable and innovative projects, believing in the power of design and the value of the people who make up our team by nurturing their talent and recognizing their central role. Every project is conceived to generate value for society, protect the environment, and promote people's well-being.
Our mission
Our mission is to design integrated and customized solutions, pursuing excellence and technological innovation with determination. We adopt a multidisciplinary approach based on respect for quality standards, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility, aiming to deliver safe, durable projects with a high positive impact.
Our vision
Every project is an opportunity to build a more resilient future inspired by ESG values. Our commitment is reflected in the adoption of an Integrated Management System and the achievement of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, UNI/PdR 125:2022, SA8000 certifications, which concretely demonstrate our focus on sustainability and ethics.
Ethical Principles
GPA S.r.l. recognizes social responsibility and legality as fundamental principles for sustainable business. In line with this belief, the company has adopted its own Organization, Management, and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 231 of 2001 (Model 231), as an essential tool to promote correct, ethical, and transparent behavior in all areas of its operations. The primary objective of GPA’s Model 231 is to prevent crimes that could result in administrative liability for the company. Its implementation is based on a thorough analysis of business processes aimed at identifying activities most exposed to the risk of criminal offenses.
Strategic Management of ESG Issues
GPA has embarked on a responsible management journey of material sustainability issues, aligned with ESG principles, and has chosen to make its commitment to sustainability explicit and structured by preparing its first Sustainability Report according to the VSME – Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard. This standard, designed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, has allowed us to clearly, transparently, and proportionately report our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
The preparation of this document also aligns with the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance within the Banks-SMEs dialogue, aimed at facilitating access to credit through greater transparency of non-financial information. For GPA, this represents an important opportunity to strengthen the trust of our stakeholders—clients, partners, institutions, and communities—and to highlight the responsible choices that have guided our activities for years.
