We’ve been using artificial intelligence as an operational tool on two fronts for several months.

AI Assistant for BIM Design
We’ve developed a system internally based on MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open protocol that allows AI models to interact directly with Autodesk Revit in natural language. Over 130 operations are available: data reading, element creation, export, and model quality control. Each destructive operation requires confirmation and is tracked in an audit log. Because it’s based on MCP, the same standard adopted by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, the system isn’t tied to a single AI vendor.

Corporate knowledge base
The second tool is a chat based on Microsoft Copilot that queries our SharePoint: procedures, templates, technical documentation, and guidelines. Colleagues ask questions in natural language and receive responses with reference to the source document.

It’s been in production for months, and adoption was a natural fit. Both tools respond to the same logic: reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks and let professionals focus on design and technical decisions.
