Redeveloping Borgo San Lorenzo (FI)

Between 2017 and 2019, the Municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo worked diligently to develop and refine a project aimed at the redevelopment and enhancement of Villa Pecori Giraldi and its historic park, with the goal of transforming them into the vibrant heart of a New Cultural Hub for the entire valley. A place of gathering, culture, and community, open to citizens, associations, and events that bring life to the Mugello area.

At the end of August, Lot 6 of the project was officially approved, focusing on the redevelopment of the outdoor areas between Piazzale Lavacchini and Via Caiani.

Key interventions planned include:
-Renovation and expansion of the parking area, with additional spaces for cars and motorcycles, as well as electric vehicle charging stations;
-Enhancement of urban green spaces;
-Creation of a new equipped pedestrian pathway;
-Construction of a sidewalk along Via Caiani.

This marks a tangible step toward a more livable, sustainable, and welcoming city. One that values its heritage while looking to the future, with a strong focus on the needs of all.
