MIND – Milan Innovation District
Do you know the MIND project, Milano Innovation District?
This is the new Milanese innovation district developed by Lendlease S.r.l and born from the public-private partnership with Arexpo S.p.a, owner of the site and coordinator of the related urban regeneration plan of the former Expo Milano 2015 area.
MIND Milano Innovation District is the neighborhood between Pero and Rho where the academic world, training and research institutes, companies, startups, incubators and accelerators will exchange ideas and share resources, skills and technologies with the common goal of innovating. The first part of the development of this large project is the “West Gate”, a multifunctional urban area of 300,000 m2. West gate, with its streets, squares, ponds and green spaces, will be a real laboratory for the city of the future, alive at all times thanks to numerous bars, restaurants and shops that complete the use of the dedicated space to offices, hotels, leisure and residence.
In this residential context, GPA Partners was awarded, as lead contractor, the development of the integrated design, definitive and executive level, of Lot no. 7, Plot. 4.4 in collaboration with the Peluffo&Partners studio and the Design International studio
Other partners involved are the GAD studio, in charge of carrying out cost control analyzes and the United Consulting studio for Energy Modeling (LEED) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) operations. The intervention consists of a single residential building for a total of 23,644 m2, built between lots 4.4.1 and 4.4.2.
