The new Gymnasium of the Agricultural Institute, Florence

A new project on our territory and a new opportunity to redevelop a space dedicated to education, growth and progress.

In collaboration with the company Polistrade Costruzioni Generali Spa and Studio Diffuso we were awarded the integrated contract for the executive design service and the construction works of the new gymnasium of the Agricultural Technical Institute of Florence, located in the Parco delle Cascine, an urban centrality which has the double value of a park of historical-monumental value and a reservoir of naturalness to be connected with the Argenziale area.

The inclusion of the new gym within this landscape context had to deal, from its inception, with some emerging constraints closely linked to the nature of the construction and the peculiar characteristics of the site.
The design solution proposed for the distribution and composition of the internal spaces has favored the introduction of innovative elements in the architectural and technological choices, through the adoption of sustainable building criteria and solutions aimed at maximizing the containment of energy consumption and the minimization of management costs.
