Redevelopment of the Olbia city

As part of the PINQUA program: National Innovative Program for the Quality of Living, we want to present to you the ambitious territorial, holistic and integrated redevelopment project of the city of Olbia that our team in collaboration with the studio Settanta7 S.r.l, PAISA’ Landscape Architecture, Studio Plicchi S.r.l and EUROPROJECT S.r.l. is carrying on.

The project actions are dictated by a precise idea: the healthy city is an open system and Olbia is historically an open city. In this context, the project has above all the aim of freeing the city from the obstacles that prevent it from fully deploying its welcoming and inclusive nature and improving the quality of life of the place and of those who live there.

The Project as a whole is a system made up of 7 coordinated interventions but also endowed with their own autonomy, described both specifically and by highlighting the relationships between the interventions that configure the whole as an organic system. The specific intervention that GPA dealt with is the 7th Connective macro area – Road interventions which expressly concerns the “reorganization of the road network and environmental redevelopment of residential streets and their reconversion as public neighborhood spaces, especially pedestrian and cycle paths, paving drainage and green spaces.”

The project is divided into three types of intervention:

• Crossing axes
• Residential axes
• Calm isolates

The start of construction is scheduled for the beginning of 2024 and we can’t wait to show you all the behind the scenes!
